Description of data processing
Registration is required to participate in the Webinar: YpsoDose & CatriQ. Your data will be transferred to Ypsomed. Once you have registered, we will email you a WebEx link to access the webinar. We use the online conference tool WebEx to conduct the Webinar. A WebEx account is not required. The provider of WebEx is CISCO Systems, Inc., 170 West Tasman Dr., San Jose, CA 95134 USA (CISCO). For preparation and performance of the Webinar, Ypsomed will share your registration data with SCHOTT. The data you provide us with will only be used for registration and authentication of your person.
WebEx collects all information that you provide to use the tool (email address). Furthermore, WebEx processes the duration of the conference, start and end (time) of participation in the conference, number of participants and other “context information” related to the communication process (metadata).
Should content be exchanged, uploaded or otherwise made available within WebEx, it is also stored on the servers of the provider. Such content includes, but is not limited to, cloud recordings, chat/ instant messages, uploaded photos and videos, files, whiteboards and other information shared while using the service. Further information on data processing by CISCO can be found in the data protection declarations of CISCO.
Please note that the other participants only see your system-generated abbreviation; your camera will not be activated. You may submit questions via chat. These questions will only be transmitted to the organiser and cannot be accessed by other participants.
After the webinar, we will send you a survey to determine your satisfaction with the content of the webinar.
Purposes and legal bases
We process the personal data to communicate with prospective or existing contractual partners or to offer certain services to our customers. Insofar as consent has been requested, we process data on the basis of this consent; you may revoke the consent at any time with effect from that date.
Duration of Data Storage
Data collected directly by us via registration and WebEx will be deleted from our systems immediately after performance of the Webinar or if the reason for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory legal retention periods remain unaffected.
Disclosure of personal data
Your personal data will be accessible to Ypsomed and SCHOTT employees who need to know such data. We may share your personal information with or make it accessible to certain contracted service providers. We will never transfer or sell personal information of our website visitors or webinar participants to a third party unless such transfer is in compliance with applicable privacy laws. We require all such third parties to comply with data protection standards.
Data transfer to a third country
CISCO may transfer the data outside of the EU/EEA and to a country without the required data protection standards. If the data is transferred to the US, there is a risk that your data can be processed by US authorities, for control and surveillance measures, possibly without legal remedies. This can be for different reasons like storing or processing.
We contractually oblige our service providers to comply with the EU data protection level and the instructions issued by us, and take steps to ensure that where your data is transferred outside of the EEA by our service providers, appropriate measures and controls are in place to protect data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and regulations.
You are required to confirm your consent to such a transfer when registering for the webinar.
