Promising start-up opts for Ypsomed's user-friendly autoinjector to treat PMDD

Asarina Pharma has decided to go with our user-friendly two-step autoinjector YpsoMate for its commercial launch of its drug Sepranolone. Sepranolone is the world’s first treatment for pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).

Burgdorf – Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Teva), a global leader in generic medicines with innovative treatments in select areas, including central nervous system, pain and respiratory, launches its drug product AJOVY® in the pre-filled YpsoMate 2.25 autoinjector from Ypsomed. AJOVY® is used for the preventive treatment of migraine in adults. The collaboration with Teva marks the first commercial market entry of Ypsomed’s larger 2.25 ml autoinjector YpsoMate 2.25.

Burgdorf – Terumo Corporation (Terumo), a leading global manufacturer and distributor of medical devices, will fill its PLAJEX™ syringe with the drug Teribone™ and assemble it with the YpsoMate prefilled autoinjector from Ypsomed. Teribone™ is a Teriparatide for the treatment of osteoporosis. The drug was developed by Asahi Kasei Pharma (AKP) and will be launched in Japan.

(Teva), a global leader in generic medicines with innovative treatments in select areas, including CNS, pain and respiratory, has launched its drug product Copaxone® in the pre-filled autoinjector YpsoMate® from Ypsomed. Copaxone® is used for the treatment of patients with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS). The collaboration with Teva marks the
second commercial market entry of Ypsomed’s autoinjector YpsoMate®.

Hulio® is a biosimilar to Humira® (adalimumab) developed by Fujifilm Kyowa Kirin Biologics Co., Ltd. and marketed in the European Union by Mylan N.V. The drug is used in the treatment of various chronic autoimmune diseases.

Burgdorf and Eindhoven (NL) – Ypsomed, a leading developer and manufacturer of injection and infusion systems for self-medication, and Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA), a global leader in health technology, today announced a collaboration to jointly develop and deploy new digital self-medication adherence monitoring services based on Ypsomed’s connected devices and Philips’ cloud-based HealthSuite Digital Platform. The two companies agree to build a solution for Ypsomed’s new SmartServices™ based on Philips HealthSuite Digital Platform. The combination of Ypsomed connected self-medication devices with Philips’ HealthSuite Digital Platform will allow Ypsomed’s pharmaceutical customers to deliver value-added services for enhanced patient outcomes.

The topping-out ceremony for Ypsomed's new production plant took place on 28 June 2018. The Swiss medical technology company is building a new production plant in Schwerin's industrial park, creating around 150 new jobs in the region in the coming years. The new production plant will start operations in summer 2019.
